Cat related posts.

1. Oscar the cat seems to have an uncanny knack for predicting when nursing home patients are going to die, by curling up next to them during their final hours.
His accuracy, observed in 25 cases, has led the staff to call family members once he has chosen someone. It usually means the patient has less than four hours to live. "He doesn't make too many mistakes. He seems to understand when patients are about to die," Dr. David Dosa said in an interview. He describes the phenomenon in a poignant essay in the New England Journal of Medicine

2. Robocat -I posted this last year but I
assure you, it's worth revisiting

3. Elaine Paige my ex-shrink has that hair.

4. Cats/Oklahoma style, by Cave Spring Hights Elementary, Ok.

Corns, I heard about that amazing cat. It is freaky. But they sense all sort of things. My friend's cat knew she was pregnant before she did. Her cat (who is normally unfriendly) started curling up on her stomach and would not leave her side. Even when my friend was talking on the phone, the cat would meow incessantly and sit right next to her. So we thought of marketing her as a pregnancy test. Instead of E.P.T. it would be S.I.D. (cat's name).

Thats really cool, They are tuned in and able to sense changes on a cellular level or something.

Yeah, for sure they are. Thanks for this, Corny. Reading about Oscar made me a little ferklemt b/c I'm on my lady time, but better out than in, right?

Aloha! I hope a cat sits on my lap as I die. This story is so sweet. I'm on the oregon coast where people think about tsunamis and my friend has a herd of cats (one is named Feral Faucett) and her main reason is that she'll receive warning about an impending wave and something else about tarot cards. a good reason to be a cat lady if there ever was one.
geez peeds, you'd also die of an allergy attack if the cat came to sit on your deathbed.
corns, sorry we missed you in SF!
Capt'n, i just miss you. sniff.

Hi Gay! Geez, I'm sorry we missed you too, I heard there was a performanze involving singing with your head in a toilet or something. I too am hoping there is a cat next to me when I die! And shes purring Swing low, sweet chariot in my ear.

I am convinced Oscar is a reincarnation of an Edgar Allen Poe cat, being from Rhode Island and all, like the one that got sealed in a wall. I only believe in reincarnation and stuff like that when it happens in that dog forsaken state.

No, seriously I had read that story too and was quite moved by it. I think the only way to go would be if I were surrounded by cats, especially if I were unfortunate enough to be spending my final hours in RI.

Sea Monkey's old cat was that tiny baby that Anna Joy Springer rescued from inside her wall. Now he is 1 year old and extremely cute and well adjusted.

I need Anna Joy Springer to rescue me from inside my wall, psychic though it may be.
